Siri pada is a beautiful mountain located between Ratnapura district(Sabaragamuwa Province) and Nuwara Eliya (Central Province).it also called ‘Samanala Kanda’, ‘ Adam’s peak’. The top of the mountain has a footprint of Lode Buddha.so Siri pada is the most sacred place of Sri Lankan Buddhists. Siri pada mountant can access in 6 different Routes.
1. Ratnapura-Palabaddala
2. Hatton-Nallathanni
3. Kuruwita-Erathna
4. Murraywatte
5. Mookuwatte
6. Malimboda
but most people chose Ratnapura-Palabaddala and Hatton-Nallathanni trails. because these two routes link to the major cities in Sri Lanka. If You Love to train ride we recommend Hatton-Nallatanni road. because if you come to Hatton by train you can get an amazing experience.
The peak season traditionally starts on the full moon of December and ends on the full moon of April. this Season called “Waraya”. and off-peak called ‘Awaraya’.
According to Buddhist History, Lord Buddha visited the Srilanka three times and this footprint summit in last time as the invite of ‘God Suman Saman’.
