dry zoneThe Dry Zone is made up of two parts. They are the lower  and the upland. About 67% of Sri Lanka’s land area belongs to the Low Country Dry Zone. Except for a few high altitude spots, the average low temperature of the region is about 30 degrees Celsius.
During the Southwest Monsoon, rainfall is very limited and can be identified as rain or dry wind. Significant rainfall is obtained from convective rainfall in the months of October and November. The average annual rainfall in this region is between 1250-2000 mm.
Upland Dry Zone The climatic zone comprises of 300m high lands in the eastern part of the wrecked area of ??Rekka, which connects Matale, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya and Haputale.
