Mullaitivu District is located in the North East of Sri Lanka.
During the colonial period the this district was part of the Jaffna Kingdom. this District is divided into 6 Divisional Secretariats.
Due to its attractive beach curtains and palm trees, it is one of the most beautiful areas in the this district. The beauty of this place is that it does not attract tourists.
There are many places to visit in the this district. One of the most interesting attractions of the LTTE’s submarine, the most valuable vessel abducted during the civil war.
There are also museums, Hindu temples and temples. Most Sri Lankan Tamils live here. Economics, agriculture, faith and beliefs are symbols of people’s lives.
Drying and fishing is the main occupation of the people of Mullaitivu district.
