Sabaragamuwa Province

Sabaragamuwa Province can name as one of the  most sacred provinces in Sri Lanka. Because of buddhists sacredmountain Sri Pada is located in this province. It also knwon as Adam’s Peak. This province consists two districts .They are Ratnapura and Kegalle..

The main income of tis province is earn from gem industry,rice and food cultivation, rubber plantation and  from tourrisum.Main tourist attractions in the province are Adam’s Peak, Udawalawa National Park, Sinharaja Forest Reserve and Kitulgala.

Ratnapura is the provincel capital. And this district is famous for gems. There are many beautiful places to visit in this district. Some of them are Bopath Ella, Maduwanwela Walawwa. There also many places to worship in this district. They are Maha Saman Devalya, Pothugul Viharaya, Diva Guhava, Siva Temple, Jumma Mosque and Sanints Peter Church.

The other district of this province is Kegalle. This district known for the Pinnawala elephant orphanage. And most of tourists are visit this district for do white water raffting  in kitulgala.
